This unit aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and its application in business processes. By the end of the unit, students will be able to analyse and design automated solutions, configure RPA tools, and develop strategies for digital transformation. The unit builds on foundational knowledge, emphasizing the application of skills in real-world scenarios, making it ideal for those pursuing roles as RPA Developers or Business Analysts.

Sprint 1 (2 weeks): Apply principles of automation, focusing on AI/ML integration within RPA. Teams develop a comprehensive proposed process flow based on optimisation techniques for real-world scenarios.

Sprint 2 (2 weeks): Team-based implementation of RPA processes, including advanced error handling and process optimization. Focus on complex interactions using UiPath Selector tool.

Sprint 3 (2 weeks): Deployment of RPA solutions in a live environment, with a team focus on exception handling, optimization, and integration with Orchestrator.

Sprint 4 (2 weeks): Advanced error handling and queue management in large-scale RPA implementations, carried out in teams.

Sprint 5 (2 weeks): Capstone project – Teams develop and deploy a real-world RPA solution, including comprehensive documentation and stakeholder presentations.

Sprint 6 (2 weeks): Final team review and optimization of the implemented RPA solution, including feedback integration and final report preparation.
