Advanced Scientific Communication equips students with advanced skills in scientific communication, emphasising accuracy, clarity, and audience awareness. Students will learn to identify, evaluate, and synthesise credible sources of scientific information, manage scientific data effectively, and present complex information using professional oral, visual, and written formats. The unit connects students with an active research group, providing authentic opportunities to explore the critical role of communication in scientific practice and research impact. Learning activities include a combination of guided tasks and project-based work, undertaken both individually and collaboratively, to develop expertise in time management, teamwork, and ethical professional behaviour. As all students will be embedded in a research environment, unit coordinator approval is required before enrolment to ensure an appropriate research group is confirmed.
