This unit is designed to provide students with an in-depth exploration of the sport, physical and outdoor education sectors. Students will engage in learning activities designed to enhance their understanding of the skills, standards and qualifications required in the sport, physical and outdoor education sectors. Building on this understanding, students will be challenged to think critically about their own professional skills within a selected focus area and identify areas for further development. Students will practically apply this knowledge by developing an individualised resume and detailed logbooks of work relevant experiences. In this unit, students undertake 20 days of placement. Through placement experiences, this unit emphasizes critical self-assessment, effective communication, and evidence-based reporting, aiming to prepare students for successful careers in the sport, health, physical education and outdoor education sectors.
