Midwifery
New

The Bachelor of Midwifery prepares you for a rewarding career as a midwife, delivering high-quality, respectful care to women and families across Australia and internationally. This degree celebrates the art and science of midwifery, offering a deeply woman-centred, evidence informed, and culturally safe educational experience. Through a blend of theoretical learning and hands-on clinical practice, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to support women throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period. The curriculum is designed to meet the Midwife Standards for Practice and on graduation you will be eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Based at Berwick campus, you’ll benefit from small class sizes and exposure to a wide variety of perspectives and practice environments. This supportive learning environment fosters the development of essential transferable skills in communication, research, problem solving, and critical thinking—skills that are vital for evaluating evidence and delivering best practice in any healthcare setting.
